Our Ministry

The Ushers Ministry is a ministry of service, the spiritual gift of help 1 Corinthians 12:27-28. Ushers love meeting, greeting, assisting, and helping others. Ushers are usually the first ones who arrives at church for any given service and are often the last ones to leave. Their responsibility is to oversee the decorum of the church, making sure everything is in place for the worshiper's comfort e.g. that the church is clean, appropriate staff is on duty, and that bulletins and handouts are ready for distribution.

Prayer

We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are yet without sin.

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need".

Hebrew 4:15-16

Spiritual Aspects of Ushering

Christian ushering means far more than merely being in uniform, standing on post, passing out bulletins, and escorting worshipers to their seats.

A Christian usher is a Servant of Christ, therefore the usher should do his very best. He is to fortify his mind daily through the studying of God's word and prayer.

Community Outreach

Ushers actively participate in community outreach, through their local church outreach ministry programs. In and effort to reach and share the Good News to those who are without Christ. They participates in door to door ministry, community services initiatives i.e., food and clothes pantry distributions, Bible studies, prison ministry, nursing homes visitation, homeless ministry, and all evangelistic efforts.
